As we work on outdoor living area design concepts, we consider the benefits and disadvantages of using stone over brick and concrete over prefab. We’ve diligently researched and identified the best light fixtures, appliances, and furniture for year-round exterior use in Calgary, and we offer our recommendations to you free of charge. As far as the process goes, we typically spend the majority of our time in the design and planning phase of the project. However, the construction phase may also be extensive if it includes moving or removing walls, rerouting plumbing lines, or tearing up existing landscapes.

Can you use an outdoor living space all year?

That’s the plan! Our goal is to maximize your return on investment by integrating modern comforts into your exterior living space such as space heaters, lighting, hot tubs, partial roofs and enclosures and furniture and appliances rated for exterior use.

Do I need a special TV?

If you’re investing in an outdoor living room, we recommend a TV rated for exterior use. We can offer suggestions for TVs that are designed to handle rain, snow, dust, insects, salt, humidity, and extreme temperatures.

How does an outdoor sink work?

Outdoor kitchen sinks require a supply line run from inside the house and require additional pipe fittings and plumbing work. We recommend winterizing your sink to prepare for the extreme cold of the winter months.
