Ultimate Renovations has been around for more than 45 years. We function on a commitment to quality, integrity, and, most importantly, peace of mind for our customers. Our recognition as a 12-time “Renovator of the Year” brings the expectation of elite craftsmanship and superior customer service, and we take pride in consistently delivering on those expectations. Our History
Ultimate Renovations Was Founded
Ultimate Renovations began as a family-run company in Edmonton, providing aluminum window cladding and window brick moulding. Danny and Terry Ritchie (brothers) worked alongside one another to meet the needs of their customers. The business soon grew to encompass windows and siding as well.
Brothers Became Full-Time
As the company’s founder, Danny invited Terry to join forces on a full-time basis, and it turned out to be a great decision.
Calgary Opportunity
Due the magnitude of a major hail storm in Calgary, insurance companies reached out to Ultimate in Edmonton. Subsequently, options began to increase and Ritche brothers established the Calgary office and both relocated to Calgary, full-time. Marc Cloutier, our Vice President, remained to oversee operations in Edmonton.
Showroom Construction Begins
Danny and Terry decided to built an impressive 8,000 SqFt showroom and office building to accommodate their growth and highlight their successes. Two years later, the showroom opened its doors, and Ultimate turned the page on a new chapter of growth.
First Recognition as Renovator of the Year
Ultimate Renovations was recognized with the prestigious Renovator of the Year award for the first time in its history. Carrying on with this successful business model, they went on to win the award, 11 more times.
Showroom and Office Building is Expanded
In 2007, Ultimate Renovations expanded operations and doubled the size of the showroom to accommodate a custom, state-of-the-art cabinet manufacturing facility with a CNC machine.
Now 40 Years in Business
Ultimate Renovations reached an impressive milestone — 40 years in business! With 10 Renovator of the Year accolades, and over 43 other awards, Ultimate has a lot to show for its first 40 years. And, with the second generation of the Ritchie family involved, Ultimate Renovations continues to create award-winning renovations for their clientele.
A Time of Achievement
Despite the challenges brought on by a global pandemic, Ultimate continued to excel earning numerous industry awards including back-to-back wins of the coveted BILD Alberta Renovator Pinnacle Award, and, Renovator of the Year Calgary region, in both 2020 and 2021. Powering ahead with 62 industry awards, the company was as strong as ever.
National Recognition
Ultimate was honoured to receive Canada’s highest Renovation Excellence award in back-to-back years at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association National Awards of Excellence in 2023 and 2024. They also added another three Pinnacle Renovator Awards at the provincial level, making them BILD Alberta’s winner for the fifth consecutive year. With 82 industry awards and counting, Ultimate continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible for home renovations.
